Research Area and Interests

Forage Pathology /Grassland Microbiology (at Lanzhou University): Cultivated grassland diseases (e.g. root rot of Alfalfa) including genetic, evolution and pathogenicity mechanisms of pathogens (e.g. Fusarium), and resistance mechanisms of Alfalfa.

Plant Pathology /Microbiology (before): Root rot diseases of horticultural crop strawberry (during PhD and post-doc research in Australia) including disease etiology, infection mechanisms and pathogenicity mechanisms of pathogens (Fusarium oxysporum). New microbe resources (Xenorhabdus spp.) in natural soil (China) with biocontrol capacity including secondary metabolites with antimicrobial activity, fermentation process / statistical modeling.
